Terms

The service

Nottuk lets you write notes, organize them, and share them. Features, limits, and paid plans can change. A plan shown in the app describes the current limits for that plan, not a promise that every listed capability is already available.

Your account

You need an email address you control. You are responsible for activity under your account, including notes you create and people you share them with. Keep the inbox that receives your sign-in codes secure, and sign out on devices you do not control.

Your notes

You keep ownership of the notes you write. You give Nottuk permission to store, encrypt, decrypt, and display that content so the service can work, including showing a note to someone you have shared it with.

Note content is encrypted at rest. That protection has limits, which are described in the Privacy policy. Do not store sensitive data such as passwords, payment details, identity documents, or health records. Nottuk is not a vault for secrets and is not certified for regulated data.

Sharing

You choose what to share. A public link can be opened by anyone who has it until you revoke it or it expires. A private share is available to the email address you enter. You are responsible for checking that the recipient, the permission, and the content are appropriate before you share.

Acceptable use

Do not use Nottuk to:

• Break the law or violate someone else’s rights.
• Upload malware, attempt to break into the service, or interfere with other people’s accounts.
• Send spam or unsolicited share invites.
• Store data you are not allowed to store, including highly sensitive or regulated information.

We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Availability

The service is provided as available. Notes can be lost through deletion, expiry of a share, a failed device, or an outage. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, Nottuk is provided without warranties of uninterrupted access, fitness for a particular purpose, or perfect security.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Nottuk and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of notes, profits, or data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending use

You can stop using Nottuk at any time and delete your notes. We can stop offering the service, or close an account that violates these terms, with notice when it is reasonable to give it.

Other policies

The Privacy policy and the Cookies page are part of these terms. If we update the terms, the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
